Free Will Writing Fortnight
Oct 5th – 16th

If you’re thinking about leaving a gift to charity after taking care of your loved ones, please consider the amazing legacy you could leave to help us care for those who need us, both now and in the future.

Whether you already have a Will, or are planning to write one, it isn’t hard to do. We strongly recommend you visit a solicitor to make sure that your wishes for your family and other beneficiaries are clearly understood.

To make an appointment during our Will Writing Fortnight, contact any of the Solicitors listed below. They have all kindly agreed to write or amend a basic Will in return for a donation to Helen & Douglas House – we suggest £100 for a single Will and £150 for a joint Will.  If you only have small changes to make you may not have to rewrite the whole document; the Solicitor will make any amendments on a codicil, which will be attached to your original Will.

We get very little government funding and rely almost entirely on donations. The equivalent of 1-in-5 of our patients is funded by the generosity of those who leave a gift to us in their Will.

If you leave us a gift in your Will...
We will use your gift respectfully and wisely.
You don’t have to tell us of your decision; we respect your right to privacy.
If you want your gift to be spent in a certain way let us know.
We will answer any questions honestly and quickly.
You can come and see our service first hand. Contact us and we will be delighted to arrange a visit.

There is no obligation to include us in your Will.
