The Duchess of Cornwall invited Helen & Douglas House children, families and staff to Clarence House to decorate the Christmas tree and join her Royal Highness for lunch, on Wednesday, 11 December.
HRH became Patron of Helen & Douglas House in 2007 and since then children from the hospice have been invited to decorate the Christmas tree every year. Eleven children and their families, who visit Helen & Douglas House hospice in Oxford, had a wonderful day with her Royal Highness.
Tom Hill, Chief Executive Officer, Helen & Douglas House said; ‘The visits to our Patron's home are very special days in the life of Helen & Douglas House. Many families have lovely memories of the day their son or daughter met Her Royal Highness and very special photographs to cherish.
I am very grateful for all that Her Royal Highness has done to support Helen & Douglas House. Our charity is so fortunate to have a Royal friend who truly understands all that we are trying to do to make every moment of a short life special.’
