The Right Honourable Andrew Smith, MP for Oxford East, officially opened the new Helen & Douglas House shop in Rose Hill, Oxford. Friday, 22 June.
Mr Smith joined Sister Frances Dominica, the founder of Helen & Douglas House, to cut the ribbon and welcome the local community into the bright and modern 3,000 square feet shop, that is opening in the charity’s 30th anniversary year.
Mr Smith said; 'I am very pleased to be able to open the Helen & Douglas House shop in Rose Hill. The charity has been supporting families facing the most difficult of circumstances for thirty years and we can all be proud that the world's first children's hospice started here in Oxford. I am sure the shop and this pioneering charity will receive strong support in the local community.’
