Thank you for visiting our website. Some of you might be here because you have been asked to nominate a charity at school and you would like to find out more about us. Others may have already chosen to support us but would like help with fundraising ideas and resources. Whatever your reason for being here, we appreciate you thinking of us.
Why choose Helen & Douglas House?
Helen & Douglas House is a hospice which helps to care for children and young adults, with life shortening conditions. Helen House was the first children’s hospice in the world!
We provide a bright and positive environment where the children and young adults who stay with us can live life to the full and have fun, just like you!
We believe that looking after the whole family is very important. We have a special club for the siblings of the children who we look after, called The Elephant Club.
Our fundraising team can help you with any aspect of your fundraising; from ideas and resources to regular support. Get in touch with us by email or by giving us a call on 01865 799150.
How you can support us
There are lots of ways you can support us in your school.
Firstly, if your school is not already supporting Helen & Douglas House, why don’t you nominate us as your Charity of the Year, or even just for a one-off fundraising event? Many schools like the students to decide what fundraising will take place, so here’s your chance!
You may even decide to help us to ‘spread the word’ about the work we do at the hospice, by giving a presentation to your fellow students. If that is something you would like to do, check out the Downloads section below.
We are sure that you have lots of your own fundraising ideas, but if not, check out the detailed A-Z of ideas on our Fundraising Planner.
