We would like to say a huge thank you to all the schools which are currently supporting us, by either choosing us as their Charity of the Year, or by holding a one-off fundraising event for us.
|A big thank you to the pupils, parents and staff at Winchester House School, who donated an iPad to be used as part of the music therapy in Douglas House. Pete McPhail, the Douglas House Music Therapist gave a fantastic presentaion in an assembly at the school, including a demonstration of some of the things which the iPad could be used for.|
|Pupils and teachers at Carswell Primary School, in Abingdon, have raised an incredible £1,500 as a result of 'The Big Dance.' This was a sponored dance, led by AJ Active aerobics instructors, which the children learnt over a number of weeks and then performed as part of their school fete. Well done to all who took part!|
|Families from The Manor Preparatory School, in Abingdon, held a family quiz night and supper, as part of our 'Simply Supper' campaign. They had lots of fun and managed to raise over £600 at the same time! Thanks everyone!|
|Helen & Douglas House and Didcot Girls' School have formed a partnership, which has not only benefited the charity, but also the students themselves. The students have held a number of fundraising activities, including bag packing and a Zumbathon, raising well over £1,000 so far. Cathy Pearl, our Schools' Fundraiser, has visited the school on a number of occassions, including assisting the English department in launching a unit on persuasive speaking. We look forward to this partnership continuing.|
