Review of Palliative Care for Children and Young Adults in the Thames Valley 2011

Helen & Douglas House has commissioned and authored a collaborative review of palliative care need and provision in the region for patients up to the age of 40 years.
The findings of the review are presented as a consultative report, with provisional recommendations at national, regional and organisational levels. The report can be read and downloaded here.

An executive summary can be downloaded here.

We will be pleased to continue the dialogue about age-appropriate palliative care, and to learn how you have used the findings from the review. Please contact David Savage

General hospice information

Together for Short Lives (previously ACT & Children's Hospices UK)

We are the UK voice for children and young people who are not expected to live to reach adulthood and their families. We are here to ensure that these families have best quality care and support wherever they live and for as long as they need it.

Hospice Information
"Hospice Information is a joint venture between St. Christopher's Hospice and Help the Hospices (now Hospice UK). It brings together the experience and established reputation for high quality of the Hospice Information Service at St. Christopher's and the national remit and innovative information developments of Help the Hospices (now Hospice UK). Together, we want to provide a world-class information service for health professionals and members of the public, on UK and international hospice and palliative care."

Hospice UK
Hospice UK is the national charity for the hospice movement, founded in 1984 by Anne, Duchess of Norfolk.
