Many people who make a parachute jump see it as a way of enjoying a 'once in a lifetime' experience, whilst at the same time raising money for a worthwhile cause.
At Helen & Douglas House we need to raise over £4 million a year to continue providing care and support to young people with life-shortening conditions and their families.
We will pay for your parachute jump in return for you pledging to raise a minimum amount of funds. For example, the minimum amount for a 10,000ft tandem skydive would be £385.
The actual figure varies for different kinds of parachute jump and also according to where you do it. However, for each jump we would receive an average donation of £140 and you will receive your jump for free!
Dates and venues
As well as weekend jumps at a time and venue to suit you, we also organise Helen & Douglas House Jump Days where a group of our supporters take the plunge together!
The next date is Sunday 23rd September 2007 at RAF Weston-on-the-Green.
We will provide refreshments and make sure it really is a day to remember!
