Selling goods
If you've got things to sell and you fancy supporting the charity, then have a look at www.missionfish.org.uk which helps charities raise money on eBay.
MissionFish enables eBay sellers to give some or all of their sale proceeds to their favourite charitable organisations and helps charities become eBay sellers too - turning buying and selling on eBay into a new source of unrestricted income for charities. (source: MissionFish)
Unrestricted funds are important for charities because they allow us to pay for what we need, when we need it. For example, unrestricted funds can go towards salaries or heating costs.
What do I need to do?
Any seller on Ebay can donate to charity while listing on Ebay. You just need to follow the instructions on the Pricing and Duration section of the Sell Your Item Form. Helen & Douglas House is registered in the Charity Directory and you can give between 10 and 100 per cent of your final sale price to your chosen charity.
To find out more, go to www.missionfish.org.uk/or go to pages.ebay.co.uk/community/charity/.
Equally, if you think you have an item that would sell on Ebay and you are happy to donate the item to us, we can auction it on behalf of Helen & Douglas House. Simply call the Fundraising Team on 01865 794749.
